Much of the usability of Gemini running Linux is tied to accelerated video drivers. Is there any word on how/whether they're proceeding?

Last I heard, 3D acceleration is available in debian after pulling in updates. I am not sure if it is necessary to add a particular repository.

Should be getting my gemini this week so will be able to provide a more definitive answer...

As to e.g. accelerated video decoding I don't think it is yet available.

There is some acceleration (as witness my somehow accidentally changing WMs from KWin -- it was agonizing), but trying for instance to scroll in a browser window demonstrates that it doesn't yet seem to be soup.
